Uncle Izak (also known as Isaac) Negri was born in Turkey, in 1905.

He immigrated at a young age to France and settled in La Roche-Sur-Foron.

He married Aunt Fortune Gambash, in La Roche-Sur-Foron. They had two sons: Elie and Morris.

During World War II, they luckily survived the Nazi aggression against Jews thanks to their non-Jewish neighbours who gave shelter.

Uncle Izak passed away in 1990, in Evian-Les-Bains, France. His grave is in the Jewish cemetery of Veyrier (nearby Geneva, Switzerland). Name of the cemetery in French: Cimetière Israélite de Veyrier.
